Cards were signed and donations taken for an NCSU themed care package to troops in Afghanistan.

Camping Trip Meeting.

Discussed ideas for upcoming events. Accepted Paul Dengler P909 and Ian Underwood P1078 as new members.

NCSU vs ECU at Edwards Mill Bar and Grill.

08/05/2010:
National Convention
President Michael Thompson P1075 attended the convention as part of the Rho delegation consisting of two alumni and four student members. At convention Rho Chapter was awarded the following:
  • Membership Recruitment Award
  • Best Newsletter - 3rd Place
  • Best Photograph - 1st Place
  • Adviser of the Year - Michael Thompson
  • Outstanding Delegation - Atlantic Region
  • Outstanding Chapter Performance - 927 pts (of 1000)

The delegation also attended the National Alumni Club (NAC) meeting and enrolled two new members from Rho. Brother Thompson will continue in his role as NAC Regional Alumni Representative for the Atlanic Region

11th Annual July 4th Cookout.

Good news! Our letter of recognition from Nationals should be issued this week. Thanks to all those who helped with and signed the petition!

As of right now our first official event will be the Annual July 4th Cookout. Keep an eye on your inbox for more details or watch our calendar for updates.

03/27/2010:
Meeting
The first Annual Meeting of the Club was held on 03/27 during the Rho Chapter Beach Trip. A petition was signed by 21 alumni and student members. The proposed bylaws were ratified as presented. Brother Michael Thompson was elected President and Brother Kenneth Ritchie as Secretary. Our next tenative meeting will be in October.

FAQ:

1. Can Mike not design the logo this time?
	Certainly, we will be accepting designs for our official logo througout the summer.

2. Do we have to call it THOR?
	No, it's a nickname.  The actual name is The Hammer of Rho, but you can call it
       the Rho Chapter Alumni Club also.

3. Can we have the meetings locally?
	Yes, the meetings at the Beach and Camping Trip are official because there is always
	a decent number of alumni present.  The Annual Meeting will be held locally and
	follow the Housing Corporation meeting in January.

	Beyond that we can have as many (or as few) additional meetings and events as the club 
	desires and those will almost all be local to the RTP area.
